GCR Class 9G 2-4-2T No. 781 (LNER F2)
The 9G locomotives were built for suburban passenger work, Beyer, Peacock built 12 engines in 1898. The 9G was a modified version of an earlier class. They had Stephenson valve gear and Belpaire fireboxes. The last one was condemned at the end of 1950.
